O'Rowe Wins Script Award
At the Festival du Film Britannique de Dinard at the weekend the film Boy A, adapted to the screen by Irish writer Mark O'Rowe from the novel by Jonathan Trigell, and directed by John Crowley, went on to win most of the major awards.
O'Rowe won the Grand Marnier Trophy for Best Screenplay, and the film also won the Public Prize, the Kodak prize for best photographic director, and on a unanimous decision from the jury, the Golden Hitchock.
The "Coup de Cœur" award, from the organisers of "La Règle du jeu", went to Hunger co-written by Steve McQueen and Edna Walsh, and directed by Steve McQueen.
