Short Scripts Awards 08

Filmbase has announced the latest winners of the Filmbase/RTÉ Short Film Award scheme.

There were over 220 scripts received in January, but the three awards will go to:

• Crossword: Hugh Travers (writer), Vincent Gallagher (director) & Claire McCaughley (producer)
• Free Chips Forever: Claire Dix (writer/director) & Freya McKenzie (producer)
• Star Struck: Emma Teck (writer/director) & Bryan O'Brien (co-producer)

Each successful team will receive €10,000 in cash with matching equipment deals towards their productions.
