NI Sponsors Writers

Northern Ireland Screen will sponsor a team of writers to attend this year's Screenwriters' Festival in Cheltenham, 1st – 3rd July 2008. It's open to writers resident in Northern Ireland, but it's not for entry-level writers. Anyone who fits the following criteria can apply:

Essential Criteria

• Screenwriters must have already had at least one feature film script(s) produced.
• Experienced television drama writers with at least one commission or broadcast credit.
• Experienced creative writers (theatre, fiction, poetry) with at least one third party published work or stage play credit.

Other criteria

• Writers with previous work funded by Northern Ireland Screen
  Writers represented by an agent .

The deadline for entry is 18 April, 2008.
